Roomy café in the Georgian Quarter with big tables and teapots, but slow & unreliable wifi.
There’s always plenty of space to sit at The Quarter on Falkner Street, near the corner with Hope Street. Wifi is unreliable and slow (1.7Mbps) which can be a pain when dealing with a lot of data, but the early opening, big sturdy tables, good service, and cheap drinks still make it an attractive place to sit and work. There’s a bike rack and car parking spaced at the front, visible through the windows so you can keep an eye on your ride home. It gets busy at breakfast and lunch times, but never overwhelming as the soft acoustics turn the busyness into a gentle hum.

Pros

Spacious, comfortable, accessible-ish, open early, bike rack, big teapots, ok food.

Cons

Slow wifi, food seems overpriced for the quality, accessible toilet requires descending a step.

Freshly squeezed orange juice.
